The Formula For Success

Success

What is it that makes some people successful in life – able to reach whatever goal they set with apparent ease – while others get stuck in the same place for years, if not decades, spinning their wheels and living out a negative ground hog day scenario?

Is it their education? Where they were born? Who their family is? Is it genetics?

The reality is… it’s none of the above!

In my working with thousands of people over the years in direct sales and online business coaching, to help them;

change their lives

to help them create both financial success and

personal fulfilment

I’ve found 8 things in particular that successful people do differently to the herd.

I’ll be writing about these 8 things over a series of articles.

How many of these 8 things are you doing?

1 – They first change how they think and feel

Let’s start with how they think:

Talk to anybody who built success in their life and they’ll tell you that they changed their thinking in order to get different results. Every one of us is a product of our thinking.

Our finances

Relationships

Health

Happiness

and every other area are dictated by our thinking.

If you want a different result in life, you need to change your thinking first.

Here’s is my #1 recommended resource for changing your thinking… if this doesn’t open you up to a new perspective on time, money, wealth consciousness and your place in this world and the world around you nothing will – Happy Pocket Full of Money

How they feel:

Very often people get hung up on “thinking like successful people” and forget a key element: what they’re feeling.

Listening to your emotions is critical to understanding what is holding you back, both consciously and unconsciously.

Successful people know that our emotions drive everything. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, afraid, stressed, sad, depressed, or any other negative emotion, your brain is less resourceful and less able to help you make good decisions or take important actions.

If you want to have:

more energy

make better decisions

be more creative, and

have more success in life…

Develop the habit of paying attention to your emotions.

Then do what’s needed to be in the right emotional state before working on your projects or tasks.

Great thoughts Drew. How essential it is to surround your self with positive people and surround your mind with positive concepts. Feeling will actually follow our thinking so when we get that 1st point activated in our lives the rest seems to follow.
Looking forward to the next step.

Great article! It’s so true that success follows right thinking and a healthy mindset. I’m sure many of us can trace down-times/slumps in our business/life to times when we didn’t pay attention to our thoughts and emotions.
A great tip from what you mentioned in the article is paying attention to our emotions and doing things that we know will put us in the right emotional state to work effectively. Exercise is one of those things that can get us in a good frame of mind – going for a run, working out in the gym, etc. For me, I particularly love a good game of squash or tennis. The downside of that of course is I can’t exactly do that everyday or just before getting some work done. But doing what we love regularly certainly helps with how we feel and therefore how we work.
I’m looking forward to reading the book you mentioned, and moving forward in all aspects of my life and work.
